After exploring the wonders of the Planetarium, we headed over to the Church History Musuem where they had an amazing Book of Mormon Children's Exhibit! We could have easily spent a lot more time there but it was really crowded and we got hungry!
Taking escalators with a stroller is always a challenge!
A very cool garden plot where we could plant veggies and then harvest what we sow.
An awesome replica of the Gold Plates. It was actual the same weight as they are!
Anthony taking his turn at studying the plates
They were really heavy!
Julia quickly claimed this frog as hers and played with the whole time.
They had some fun life size blocks you could use to build towers and temples.
The biggest hit was the fishing off Nephi's boat. We had to use almost all our patience to have a turn but it was lot of fun!
Andrew enjoyed trying to copy some of the writing that might have been on the plates.
As we left the museum we decided to stop at the log cabin that was close by. The kids got to see how the pioneers lived and were shocked at how small their houses really were. Makes me feel grateful for what I have.
We then headed over to the new City Creek Mall.
One of our good friends helped with the construction of it and it was fun to go and see how much it has changed from the old ZCMI mall.
Beautiful water fountains first greeted us!
This one was a kid favorite! They loved putting their hand inside of a bubble!
The cool thing about the mall is that there is an actual creek that flows through it. The kids loved exploring it while we tried to figure out our dinner options.
After dinner at McDonalds (always a kid favorite), we headed back to our hotel, the Crystal Inn in Murray. I really liked this hotel and think we will choose this one again. They have complimentary breakfast and dinner! A real winner in my book!
All ready for a swim in the pool!
We had a lot of fun splashing and trying out our new swimming techniques from swimming lessons.
Then off to bed! What a busy first day!
