2012 DeLaMare Family Reunion

Aunt Mary was in charge of the reunion this year and she did a wonderful job!
We all met up at Lava Hot Springs and enjoyed some amazing barbecue and potluck.

We had a lot of fun visiting and catching up with each other.

Some dozing was also done...

As well as lots of rafting and tube floating

Counting down to the next one!

Random Summer Pics

You knew one was coming right?
There are just too many random photos that are blog worthy that I should wrote about when it happened. I'll try and summarize as best as possible!

We cleaned out our garage this summer! Way over due! Look at all that garage that had been sitting in it!
Finally we can park two cars again!

Anthony and I love to pull out the ice cream after the kids go asleep and watch a movie or sit and talk. Anthony likes to his ice cream crunchy and will often added random things to get it that crunch!

Not sure what caused this!
Sigh...sadly to say.. it happens too often to remember!

This I remember!
The kids were all playing outside when Julia began to cry. Anthony went out to investigate and comes running in with a screaming Julia. The story comes out that the boys were swinging really hard on the swing set...causing it to rock and to lift off the ground a little. Julia was standing to close and got her foot under the pipe. It came down on her foot but then right back up and she moved it out. We took her to the doctor, pretty sure that she had broke something. Nothing was broken thankfully!
Its things like this that lets me know that my kids have guardian angels! Julia could have easily had her toes severed off...at the least her toes broken! The pipe was full of dirt so her foot remain flat and didn't come up when the pipe came down. Truly a small miracle!

Glen holding the newest member of the family a week before he left on his mission.

Anthony and I attended a high school football game and left after we saw this! As we got the parking lot, it poured buckets!!  What a night!

Julia's nose will often get dry and we wake up to this!

We love taking walks as a family!

Matthew is our little monkey!

For Anthony's birthday, my parents gave him shelves for the garage!
He was so excited! We bough the wood and Anthony and my dad spent an afternoon putting them together!

He even made to get a loft out of it too!

One of our couches bit the dust!
The kids discovered this hole and had a great time throwing the stuffing around everywhere!
What a mess!

Again...
not sure why he had bandaids but loved this!

Our 9th Anniversary and King Tut

We decided to spend time with our kids on our anniversary this year since its so hard to find time in the summer for us to get away for our anniversary. We decided to take the kids to the Museum of Idaho exhibit on King Tut! It was amazing! All the artrifacts were on loan from Egypt so it was a challenge making sure the kids weren't touching these they shouldn't!

Everything was so opulent!
It was awesome!

King Tut in all his glory!

I personally think this bed would be very uncomfortable!

Anthony and I managed to see everything by splitting up. We took the kids to the Idaho Pioneer kid center and took turns watching the kids play and seeing the exhibit! I have such a smart husband!

The kids had a blast!
Peter found this giant spider hand puppet!
Gives me the willies just looking at it!

Julia of course found the babies!

Andrew was drawn to the puzzles on the touch screen computers!

Peter was the first to find the dress up box!

Soon everyone joined in!

We took Peter and Andrew in to see King Tut and they were a little intimated by it!
Kind of grossed them out I think!

You probably think that Anthony and I didn't get any romantic time on our anniversary. We got a sitter and decided to eat out and then went to the dunes to enjoy the sunset and talk about our goals!

Walking in the sand is lots harder then it looks and I ended up straining my Achilles! (Of course I would right?) I had a lovely blue strip of medical tape running up the back of my leg for 5 days while it healed!
Overall, it was a great anniversary and am looking forward to some many more!
