Someday....

Someday the sun will come out and it will stay longer than two days. Someday we will be able to play outside for hours, all day even, instead of little escapes...

Someday outdoor barbecue at  Grandma's will be a mainstay and not a hit and miss affair!

Someday we will be more prepared and have large marshmallows in stock for those perfect roasting times instead of the tiny ones...

My dad got creative and decided that a Cheeto might work just as well as a marshmallow!

But for now we will bask in the hope of someday... and live and love the moments that we are given!

GRRRRR....

I miss the humor in leaving the faucet turned on in a bathroom sink and then locking the door so that its harder to turn it off. ..two little boys have hopefully learned that its not funny either.

My Mother's Day...

We decided to celebrate Mother's Day with my family and then go spend Sunday with Anthony's family.  We had a lot of fun spending time with my mom and sister. My mom even pulled out her new ultra cool popcorn popper. Anthony totally wants one of these!

It just happened to be my brother's senior prom. He asked me to take a few pictures of him and his date and the rest of their group.

Nothing makes you feel older then seeing your baby brother in a tux the night of his senior prom!!

We had an awesome experience while at my moms. My brother lost his wallet and after frantically searching the whole house, his car, and his friends car, he gave up and went and picked up his date. His wallet had all his money for his date in it so Anthony and I ran to the nearest ATM to get some more cash. While we were gone, my mom gathered all our kids and said a prayer asking for help to find the wallet. After the amens were whispered, Peter simply stated, "We need to look where we haven't already." My mom sent them to search the basement and she began to search the house again, when she remembered having my brother shake out his pants because they had gotten muddy during when they went four wheeling. There, sitting on the patio, was his wallet. What a wonderful experience!

The next morning I received two beautiful cards from Peter and Andrew, a bracelet from Andrew that he made in preschool, a rose brush from my wonderful husband plus a pair of capris. Overall it was a great day and I'm so proud and glad that I have the opportunity to be a mom!

Let's Go Fly a Kite....

Living where we do, there is always plenty of wind for kite flying. Peter and Andrew had been begging to fly kites for a while and so  we decided that it would be a good idea for some family fun! We headed over to the church where there is a big open area, perfect for kite flying. A midst some grumbling about being thirsty and/or hungry we had a lot of fun that lasted about twenty minutes.  YEAH!!

The only picture that I really got of Peter and its blurry...sigh...oh well...
My poor deprived children really don't know how to fly a kite because the kites that they usually get to play with consist of Walmart plastic bag and some string.  You usually have to run in order to achieve any kind of altitude.. so the idea of just standing with the kite and letting it get higher was beyond them. Their kites kept falling from the air because they would run the opposite of the way that they were suppose too.

Matthew spent some of the time snoozing away in our new double sided umbrella stroller...can i just say that I am in love! This baby turns so easily and fits through all the doors that I have tried. It's simple to fold up and its very compact and doesn't take up tons of room in my van...a plus when you have as much luggage as we do for a simple overnight.

Julia was allowed to do some exploring and she loved it...She roamed all over the park!  The rest are of some fun shots that I got and then later edited.

Nature Park-Spring 2011

We took our first walk to the park after dinner on Easter. (We would have spent it with family but we had the stomach flu at our house and Julia had already three blowouts..sigh...Glad that is over!!!)  It was the perfect weather and a much needed excursion after being cooped up all week because of the flu!!

The ducks were a little tired but we woke them up!!! The boys were so excited to see them!

Matthew was by far the most excited about seeing them! He has recently learned some animal sounds, a duck being among those! He was constantly quaking and laughing...something about that makes a mother's heart full and moments like that make it all worth it...all the throw-up, diraherra, tanturms, fighting, diapers, etc...all kind of disappear when you hear your child experiencing joy at something new or loved...

Our faithful video-taking! Thanks for capturing all the good times so that we can remember them when the bad times come.

Those poor ducks!! They had all filled up on plenty of bread and here were three very enthusatic boys doing their best to feed them! Good thing there were a lot of seagulls!!!

Matthew keeps us on our toes!!! We had to have a hand on him most of the time while we were by the water...he so wanted to go exploring in it!

My by-far-favorite photo of the whole adventure!!  She really was having a lot of fun...she just wasn't pleased about being put in the Frisbee golf thingy...

I love this one....Peter holding on to Matthew to help him keep up...What a great moment...
All my little ducks in a row....

We decided that for Easter that we follow the prophet's advice to have a picture of the temple in every bedroom. The boys were excited and loved having them. They also each got a new summer shirt and a bag of  peanut butter candies...(got to have some nutrition in there right...)

Julia got teether biscuits which she has loved...Matthew likes them too...LOL!!

Overall...we had a great Easter ...I am thankful for a Savior who came to this Earth and suffered and died for me. What a wonder and miracle that it was and still is.

Andrew's take on the Resurrection!

This was part of the conversation in the car today as we were running a million errands!

Peter: What's that building with the blue and white letters?
Anth: Deseret Book
Peter: Oh...deseret book
Andrew: They have books about Jesus there.
Anth: How do you know that, Andrew?
Andrew: Jesus was "deserected," right Peter?

At least he learning something...
