I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something
off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item
away from her and I asked her not to do that. 'Why?' my
daughter asked. 'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know
where it's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs' I
replied. At this point, my daughter looked at me with total
admiration and asked, 'Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so
smart.' I was thinking quickly. 'All moms know this stuff. It's on
the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mom.' We
walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently
pondering this new information. 'OH...I get it!' she beamed,
'So if you don't pass the test you have to be the
dad'. ''Exactly' I replied back with a big smile on my face.

The Mom Test
A friend of mine sent me this last night! I wanted all my friends to see it and this is the easiest way to do that! Enjoy!
Quack! Quack!
Do you smell smoke?
So, the other day I was sitting in the living room watching a movie with the boys, when I started to smell smoke. I wandered through our apartment trying to figure out when the smell was coming from. I discovered the source of the smell when I opened the dishwasher and found one of my favorite wooden spoons sitting on the heating element. After a brief exclamation of alarm, I attempted to take it off and it fell apart into two pieces! It smelled like smoke for all day and I ended up having to re-wash the dishes that had been in the dishwasher! What a day!

Rexburg Temple Openhouse

No, we didn't sneak a camera in through a tour! You get these pictures and others from the lds.org website. It has been an awesome experience to be able to tour the temple and to see the different rooms and the beauty that is manifested there. Peter has loved going through and gets excited each time that we get ready to go. He can hardly wait to get out his carseat. I had the opportunity on Friday to go usher! That was wonderful as well! My wonderful and very supportive husband stayed home with one grumpy boy and one sick boy so that I could fulfill our assignment. I was so excited and appreciate Anthony's sacrifice! The sore feet, calves, and cheeks (from smiling for over five and half hours) were well worth this chance to serve and to see other people's faces light up when they saw you smile at them. It was incredible!
Party Animals!
It was my mother's birthday on Sunday as well but my family came up on Monday to have FHE and to celebrate then. We gave Grandma Monson a calendar with pictures that we ordered off of Walmart.com! She loved it!
After the cake and ice cream kicked in this, the boys became a little bit wild. Andrew put a bag on his head and of course Peter couldn't let his little brother do something without him and so he found a bag too. Overall, it was a fun night!
