Quack! Quack!

Andrew and Peter both got slippers for Christmas, and whereas Peter loves to wear his slipppers, Andrew refused to put his on! I think that they scared him or something. One day Anthony and I put them on and as he tried to walk in them, we said, "Quack, Quack! Quack, Quack!" He cried and we took them off. Well, sometime this week (I need to blog when stuff happens because I forget what day I took pictures on) he brought them to me and gestured that he wanted them on. So I put them on and he walked around saying something that sounded like "Quack, Quack! Quack, Quack!" It was so cute I had to take a picture and of course, Peter wanted to be in it too!

Do you smell smoke?

So, the other day I was sitting in the living room watching a movie with the boys, when I started to smell smoke. I wandered through our apartment trying to figure out when the smell was coming from. I discovered the source of the smell when I opened the dishwasher and found one of my favorite wooden spoons sitting on the heating element. After a brief exclamation of alarm, I attempted to take it off and it fell apart into two pieces! It smelled like smoke for all day and I ended up having to re-wash the dishes that had been in the dishwasher! What a day!

Rexburg Temple Openhouse

No, we didn't sneak a camera in through a tour! You get these pictures and others from the lds.org website. It has been an awesome experience to be able to tour the temple and to see the different rooms and the beauty that is manifested there. Peter has loved going through and gets excited each time that we get ready to go. He can hardly wait to get out his carseat. I had the opportunity on Friday to go usher! That was wonderful as well! My wonderful and very supportive husband stayed home with one grumpy boy and one sick boy so that I could fulfill our assignment. I was so excited and appreciate Anthony's sacrifice! The sore feet, calves, and cheeks (from smiling for over five and half hours) were well worth this chance to serve and to see other people's faces light up when they saw you smile at them. It was incredible!

Party Animals!

It was my mother's birthday on Sunday as well but my family came up on Monday to have FHE and to celebrate then. We gave Grandma Monson a calendar with pictures that we ordered off of Walmart.com! She loved it!

After the cake and ice cream kicked in this, the boys became a little bit wild. Andrew put a bag on his head and of course Peter couldn't let his little brother do something without him and so he found a bag too. Overall, it was a fun night!

Corbin's Blessing

Corbin, Ashley and Michelle's latest addition to the Tietjen family, was blessed last Sunday. Afterwards we had a great luncheon and got to sit and talk to everyone while the kids all played downstairs. It was a lot of fun! Thanks for the great party, Ashley and Michelle!

Snooze Hour

We celebrated Corbin's blessing last Sunday. After eating all the delicious casseroles that people brought, mnay of us began to feel tried and droppy eyed! Some were even able to sleep amongst all the kids running around and the adults talking.

Candid Moments

Peter actually took this by himself! All I did was hold the camera and he hit the button. On the one on the below this he actually aimed it and took it himself. Our little budding photographer and what a great shot of Chaz!
